At the grand ages of 81 and 79 Hannah Laidlow and I got married at St Peter's Church on the 4th October 2025. It proves one is never too old.
We have known each other for 40 years and have been living together for the last 13 years here at Les Buttes, St Peter's.
Hannah is a retired GP. Firstly at St Martin's Surgery in about 1979 for 9 years and latterly at The Queens Road Practice for 9 years, retiring in 2011.
Between us we have 14 grand children.
We had just over 100 at our wedding, conducted by Rev Dr Adrian Datta . Grandchildren sang in a junior choir, with a solo from Alice, and Hannah's son Ben played the Guitar. Ava Maria was sung by Joey Edwards.
Many have remarked that it was a wonderful wedding, with so many young people involved.
