Members of Elizabeth College's Class of 1996 returned to school on Saturday to reconnect with old friends and revisit familiar surroundings during a memorable reunion.

The afternoon began with a drinks reception in the sunny Perrot Court Quad, where guests were treated to a nostalgic surprise – Mr Freeze ice lollies, bringing back fond memories of school days spent at College.

Former Vice-Principal Rick James, who taught many of the returning Old Elizabethans and now proudly oversees the College's Bursary Scheme, welcomed the group and reflected on the lasting impact of their time at Elizabeth College. His speech celebrated the enduring bonds formed during their school years and highlighted the importance of giving future generations the same opportunities through the bursary programme.

Following the reception, alumni enjoyed a tour of the school, sharing stories as they revisited classrooms, corridors and spaces that have evolved over the past three decades while retaining the character they remembered.

The celebrations continued into the evening as the group headed into St Peter Port to round off the reunion at The Slaughterhouse, where conversations, laughter and memories carried on.

The reunion was a wonderful opportunity for the Class of 1996 to celebrate old friendships, reflect on shared experiences and see how their former school continues to grow while remaining true to its traditions.

Thank you to Thomas, Ollie and Adam for working with the Development Office to arrange this lovely event.
