Francois Cloete (10479) was in Guernsey during the summer and gave a wonderful recital in College Hall on the harpsichord Elizabeth College look after for the Guernsey Harpsichord Trust.
After spending a gap year as organ scholar at Hereford Cathedral Francois went on to study music at Merton College, Oxford where he was also organ scholar and having just graduated with a Congratulatory First Class Degree. He has now gone on to be organ scholar at Westminster Abbey a post he will hold at the same time as undertaking doctoral research at Kings, London, where he will be performing alongside Andrew Nethsinga and the world class choir and fellow organists at the Abbey, a huge achievement.
The Abbey stream many of their services on YouTube where you might catch him playing. The link below is Francois playing for Merton College during a visit to the Abbey.
