We are arranging another of our popular summer social events for members of our Dead Donkey Legacy Club, and we wanted to extend the invitation to you.

You might be wondering who, or what, the Dead Donkey Club is. The club was established as a social club whose members have all chosen to remember Elizabeth College with a gift in their will. We meet regularly throughout the year to socialise and enjoy each other’s company at fun-filled and interesting events where we can reminisce on our school days. 

Our annual summer BBQ and Croquet event is being held on Saturday 20 June. It is always great fun meeting up for a BBQ lunch at the College Field for tense and hilarious games of croquet and pétanque. All abilities are welcome and encouraged to join in. The College Bursar will be on hand to cover off the rules and give helpful tips to scupper your opponents!

During the afternoon you will have the opportunity to talk to me, and other longstanding members, about the personal benefits to joining the club and the benefit to future students that leaving a gift in your Will can provide.

Although there is no cost to become a Dead Donkey Club member, there is a small ticket cost for attending the event. On this occasion the cost is £25 per person which includes a delicious lunch cooked by the wonderful College Chef, all drinks, croquet and pétanque games plus endless fun and laughter!
