We are thrilled to invite you to the much-anticipated 2025 Dead Donkey Club Croquet & Pétanque Event - an annual tradition filled with friendly competition, great company, and fantastic food!

This year, the entire event will take place at College Field, where a marquee will be set up for a delicious BBQ lunch, featuring sizzling barbecued meats, fresh salads, and, of course, refreshing Pimms!  All for just £25 per person.

The day kicks off at 12 noon with a welcome drink, setting the stage for a memorable afternoon. After lunch, you’ll be teamed up to compete in our fun and light-hearted croquet tournament, with expert guidance from College Bursar James Couchman; you can also enjoy a spirited round of pétanque. And for those with a competitive streak - medals await the winners.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our club survey earlier this year! Your feedback has helped shape an exciting lineup of events for the 2025/26 academic year, which we’ll be sharing with you in early September - so you can mark your calendars!

One of the findings from the survey was just how keen members are to come to the croquet and pétanque event, a highlight of the Dead Donkey Club calendar, and we can’t wait to see as many of you there as possible this June.
