OEA Treasurer Notes

5 Feb 2019
Who's Who
I became a member of the OEA when I left College in 1996 and since leaving I have had the opportunity to reconnect with the College and old friends through a multitude of events all run by the Association. I have a real passion for all types of sports and the chance to unleash my competitive instinct alongside other OEA member in our annual sporting events is a real pleasure. These events are always played in the right spirit and I would encourage everyone to "put their hat in the ring" and get involved. That said, whilst I have a desire to reconnect on the sports field, if their are any events or activities that any OEA member feels would encourage the membership to come together and have some fun, the Committee would really like to hear from you about your ideas.
To be honest I was kind of coerced onto the OEA committee a few years back but I have not looked back since. Whilst keeping the books and records is my responsibility, where I get a real buzz is seeing how the OEA is financially supporting the College, its pupils and promoting the growth of the Association. I am always amazed by what the OEA achieves and this can only be done by a devoted Committee, supportive members and the assistance of the Foundation Office.
The OEA remains in a strong and financially healthy position and if you have any question on the annual financial statements please do get in touch.
