Four Elizabeth College students have passed the highly competitive selection interviews for a place at Oxford.
Elizabeth College is delighted to be able to report that this year four of our students have received offers of places at Oxford Colleges.
The successful pupils are:
- Adam Le Poidevin – Maths & Philosophy, St Hilda’s College
- Zach Ellis – Engineering, Wadham College
- Isaac Powers – Law, Keble College
- Sam Broadhurst – Engineering, Somerville College
It is well known that the application process for places at the Oxford and Cambridge Colleges is highly competitive and each of the pupils should be commended on the offer of a place, which is a recognition of their exceptional academic potential.
Principal, Jenny Palmer is delighted with the news: “I would like to congratulate all of the students who secured an interview in the Oxbridge process this year – that, in itself, is a hugely positive achievement. The hard work, commitment and preparation that all of the candidates have invested in this process is worthy of praise, regardless of whether they have received an offer of a place.
I am delighted that four students from Elizabeth College have been offered places at a variety of Oxford Colleges and wish them all the best as they continue to work towards achieving the outcomes which will see them reach this goal.
I would also like to thank all of the staff, parents and members of the wider community who have been instrumental in supporting and preparing the candidates for this rigorous process.”
