Lyndon Trott elected Chief Minister
Following the recent General Election of People’s Deputies on 23 April 2008, the States chose former Treasury and Resources Minister Lyndon Trott (6722) as the Island’s Chief Minister.
As a trained accountant with a background in the finance industry, 43-year old Lyndon is well placed to deal with the challenges facing the new States. He is particularly concerned about the economic impact of demographic changes and believes the States should be concerned about this now.
The media are already talking of a ‘new dawn’ in Guernsey politics and there are high expectations of the new Chief Minister and his team.
Other OEs who were elected were -
M H Dorey (6172)
M J Fallaize (8956)
J A B Gollop (6598)
R R Matthews (5180)
P R Sirett (5457)
