Bisley 2006

The Centenary Celebrations continued at Bisley and over fifty boys and members sat down to a splendid dinner at the London & Middlesex. Peter Girard was invited to become a Vice President of the Club and was presented with the ClubTie.

The AGM held earlier that day, was attended by the two Past Presidents, and all the Vice Presidents "a full house" commented Bruce Parker who chaired the Meeting of twenty five members

We fielded four teams and three reserves this year in the Public Schools Veterans. The "A" placed 10th with 244, the "B" placed 10th with 230, the "C" 7th. and the "D" team placed highly with 197. Scott Benest won the Donegall Badge after scoring 50.8 with a borrowed rifle.

In the Marlingham, which is open to Public Schools Veterans and is based on the Grand Aggregate for the Main Meeting we placed third.

Ashburton

Elizabeth College placed 9th ex 45 with a score of 740.30 (twenty three points better than last year) and were narrowly beaten by Victoria, who were 8th by one point, and won the Haines Shield.

The Channel Islands Cadets won the Home International

Dinner

The Dinner was held at the London & Middlesex as usual. The Victorians were also present and there was a convivial atmosphere.

The Donegall badge was presented to Scott Benest for 50.8 in the Veterans. Nick Mace was presented with the Bernard Mourant trophy and Adam Jory the Keith Cunningham Memorial trophy.

The Centenary Cup was presented to Adam Knight of the VIII for the best score by an under 16 and his brother Peter a tankard as retiring Captain. We wish him every success in Canada with the Athelings team

Main Bisley Meeting 2006

Nick Mace placed 26th and Peter Jory 43rd in the Grand Aggregate. They both shot in the final of HM Queens, Nick placing 11th and Peter 15th. (Postions to be confirmed). They both shot in the final of the St. Georges (places to be announced) and Peter shot in the Donaldson Memorial Final placing 17th.

Peter tied for the Alexandra and in the tie shoot placed second scoring 25.4 to Simon Belither's 25.5 ex 25.5. Nick won the TWP Sighters Aggregate.

Rob Waters top scored with a magnificent 149 ex 150 in the Kolapore, and won the de Putron Rose Bowl. He will still be at school next year and we wish him every success.

Mike Martel placed 3rd in the Clementi - Smith Aggregate.
