Golf Day 2007

The third OEA Golf Day took place at La Grande Mare Golf Club on Friday 31st August.

30 players in teams of 2 or 3 took part in this annual Stableford competition and it was great to see some new faces. The weather, though windy and overcast, didn't prevent some teams from returning very high scores. For others it was the ideal excuse!!

The winning team this year was Peter Radford, Matthew Brouard and Bryan Bisson with a score of 83 points. The runners-up were those well-known veterans, Max Trouteaud, Steven Heyworth and Graham Le Tissier with 78 points. Nearest the pin was won by Peter Radford.

The President managed to do a 'Barnes Wallis' over the lake and land on the green and John Bihet made a par on the 4th when his ball was re-directed to the fairway by the shed roof.

Following the presentations at the excellent dinner, all agreed that it had been a thoroughly enjoyable day.
