Picture shows the Guernsey Kolapore Team - six of the eight were OEs with one current Elizabethan.
No one will forget Bisley 2007 in a hurry. It was the wettest anybody can remember with torrential rain dumping itself on competitors on an hourly basis.
Happily, the schools got through Ashburton Day unscathed with the College putting up a fine set of scores to finish fifth overall. (Epsom College were the winners with an exceptional score.) The Veterans match, too, was dry.
Shooting on the first day of the main meeting, in which several OEs and members of the College VIII were competing, was cancelled after butts and ranges became flooded and a huge lake formed across Century.
Despite all that, OEs managed to turn in some fine scores, not least in the international Kolapore match when Guernsey came second to Great Britain, beating both Canada and Jersey. It was Mike Martel's 46th appearance for the island in the Kolapore, a new Guernsey record.
Nick Mace added to his collection of Bisley honours by winning the Northland Challenge Trophy for his aggregate score in Queen's I and the Prince of Wales competitions. He only missed the Wimbledon at 600 yards after a tie-shoot left him with a single 'V' bullseye behind the winner.
Nick and Adam Jory both won places in the Queen's 100 - the two of them were also in the top 50 of the Grand Aggregate making them true Bisley 'tigers'.
Scores in the Public Schools Veterans match were as follows:
