The Elizabeth College 1st XI
The Old Elizabethan 1st Team was a mix of the old and the new, however one thing they all shared was experience. The game started with both sides thrusting forward to test the back line but it was the College defence that made the first mistake with Nic Chambers showing his usual skills to fire in the first goal. The Old Elizabethans continued to pressure the younger college side by the end of the first half Nic Chambers had scored his second goal.

College came out hard for the second half and deservedly scored a goal through centre forward Jonathan Wilkes-Green. Although tiring visibly in the near zero temperature, the OE's were able to keep control of the game and despite chances at both ends the game finished with a win for the OE's 2 - 1.
After the games had finished the teams retired to the warmth of the Hockey Club for chips and a few drinks!
